Some people believe that an addict who is missing, has run away or is out on a "binge" will eventually surface.  Waiting for someone to surface is like waiting for someone to hit bottom.  Why would you sit back, wait and allow your loved one to cause further harm to themselves or possibly something even more tragic, rather than intervene on their behalf?

A family member, a friend, an employee or even your own spouse has a history of disappearing for days or weeks at a time. Maybe, this is the first time they have disappeared, or maybe they have left a treatment facility Against Medical Advice. They may have called to tell you they are alright and will be home in a day or two or maybe no call has been made.  You believe they are out abusing alcohol, using drugs, or both and you are concerned for their safety.   Maybe you feel that the person is in a dangerous and destructive relationship or environment and all attempts to contact them have failed. You are scared, hurt and angry.  You are also confused and torn over what you should do next.

  • Should you notify other friends and family members?
  • What will you tell them?
  • What will they think?
  • Should you call your local law enforcement to file a missing person report?
  • What if that results in the person being arrested?
  • What will their reaction be to you?
  • What if you do nothing and just wait for them to "surface" or come home?
  • When will it end?
  • How will it end?
  • Who will help?
First of all, you must recognize that addiction is a disease.  Just as you would not blame them for a heart attack, you cannot blame them for their addiction...but you can help them take responsibility for their recovery and we can help you!

The Intervention Group has the resources and experience to help those who find themselves faced with the situation described above by bringing together a network of investigators, interventionists, and treatment facilities from all across the United States and abroad.  We work at locating and then intervening on Missing Persons and Endangered Missing Persons. This includes teenage runaways and missing young adults as well as missing seniors.

Our investigators are former law enforcement officers from both the local and Federal level with years of experience in the locating and recovery of missing persons.  Their ability to interact with local jurisdictions while conducting their investigation is key.   This not only allows for information sharing, but also in many cases draws assistance directly from local law enforcement while maintaining control of the investigation.

Our interventionists are experienced in assessing the situation and conducting these "High Risk" interventions on the spot, once the missing person has been located. This often allows the person being intervened upon to see the true sense of their destructive behavior and usually results in them getting the help they need without delay.

We specialize in finding your loved ones and getting them the help they deserve, but it all starts with YOU getting involved.

Please consider this: if not you, then who; if not now, then when?
